Design criteria
Twelve areas designing a single car disagree every day. These four criteria, in this order, resolve the conflict without a vote.

We design what this team can build with the machines and the hours it actually has. A brilliant part that cannot be made is worth zero.

Every gram and every peso is justified against the points it returns. The Cost Report is not paperwork: it is a design constraint from day one.

Between two equivalent solutions, the one with fewer parts wins. What does not exist cannot fail, adds no mass and needs no defending before the judges.
Every subsystem opens with a table of applicable rules that turns the FSAE EV rulebook into pass-or-fail functional requirements before design begins. Structural members are sized to the regulatory minimum for their function: mass is added only where the analysis calls for it.
